The greatest Violins of all Time

Detail, Violin, Andrea Amati, c. 1560. These violins are actually worth much more than a stradivarious! Stradivariouses were made from the 1700-1800s and this one is older than any strad I know!
What beauty. Better than any strad I have seen.
My favourite of the greatest violins of all time has to be the guarnerius de Gesu. You may notice that copies of the guarnerius De Gesu's full size is a bit smaller than an ordinary full size violin. But that does NOT matter. What matters is that it is the loudest violin type that you can buy! It is also my favourite. I remember I went violin shopping and I tried a copy of a guarneri and I fell in love with it. I am lucky to have a guanerini (cross between a stradivarious and a guarnerious).
The last and most known violin maker of all time was none other than the stradivarious. Every tool on a real stradivarious from its string to the body itself is now copied on modern violins. It was a great motivation to our violin craftmanships today.
