The Great & Powerful Oz was Wicked!

 THIS BLOG POST IS ABOUT MY OPINION OF THE MOVIE, AND TO SHOW MY OPINION OF THE MOVIE, I HAD TO SHOW EXAMPLES FROM THE MOVIE. IF YOU WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE AND DON'T WANT TO SPOIL IT FOR YOURSELF, DON'T READ THIS BLOG POST! READ THE OTHERS!

Yesterday, I went to go see the new movie The Great & Powerful Oz!

If you want to go see a comedy, don't see this movie!

However, if you want to see a movie that tells an epic story, watch this!

I love this movie because of the story it told! I love how Disney can make a movie that tells such an excellent story without making it cheesy because it's supposed to be a children's film!

 I also love the plot of this film! 

At first before watching this film, I thought Disney just made another remake of one of their most classic films. I have noticed that they have been doing that for a long time. Good examples of this are Snow white

And Alice in Wonderland

But at the end of the film, I found out I was completely wrong! Disney made The Great & Powerful Oz about how the great wizard of Oz came to Oz, not a remake on how Dorothy came to Oz!

However, there are some authors that wrote about the land of Oz in different points of view. Have you seen the broadway show Wicked or have read the book Wicked?

I have only read the first couple of chapters of the book, but if I can remember, the wicked witch of the west AKA Elphaba Throp was born green. In the movie, Theodora (that was the name of the witch), who had her heart broken by Oz, wanted revenge.  Theodora's sister, Evanora, offered her sister a green apple, telling her that once she takes a bite into it, her heart will become impenetrable. This does happen, but at the same time, Theodora turns into what we know as the Wicked Witch of the West! I just noticed this very different contrast!

Also, throughout Dorothy & Oz's journey, both find some companions to travel along with!

Those were my observations on the movie! The movie tells an awesome story very Wickedly!
