Versailles, France

Yesterday, we started off our day by going to a bakery and buying some macarons for a friend who invited us to stay in her house in Versailles.

 we went to our friend's house in Versailles. It's a really nice suburb. We then went to Versailles. It is truly a humongous palace. We went through the palace and there was a performance of Victorian dancing and baroque music. 

We then went through the garden(s). There was a ton of topiary where the bushes were trimmed into regular shapes. 

There were also a ton of Greek statues. 

There was also baroque music (we were guessing it was Handel) playing in the garden on some very high quality speakers. 

At 10:50, the firework show started. You couldn't see or hear the firework shoot up into the sky. The fireworks also were in sync to the tempo of the music, making the fireworks seem extremely royal. 

We got home at 12:30 and slept until10 in the morning.
