My Experience at The Chapel Hill Chamber Music Workshop

Just a few hours ago, I finished playing the unfinished Mozart clarinet quintet with Alicia Choi, one of the violinists of the Larchmere String Quartet (pictured left)! I also got to play variations 2 & 6 frome Amy Beach's flute quintet alongside Kirsten Jermé, who is the cellist of the Larchmere String Quartet (pictured right)! I learned so much from these musicians, but I also learned a lot from the participants of the workshop.
Most of the participants of the workshop were former, elderly musicians. Some of the participants played in high school and had to stop when life got in the way. Others actually got to pursue music at a university (or even a conservatory) and had retired. However, what everyone had in common was a passion for chamber music.
It only took me a (Mon)day to accustom to this new environment, but once I adapted, I felt so happy getting to share my passion for chamber music with the participants and the chamber coaches!
