Bookmark DIY
It's been 45 hours since my wisdom teeth extraction & I'm convinsed that my spirit animal is a chipmunk.
I really don't have anything better to do except binge watch Friends & read An Abundance of Katherines, so I decided that a new blog entry would be a great time killer, so here it goes!
I don't know if y'all think the same thing, but I think the beautiful bookmarks at Barnes & Noble are so expensive. I also end up losing my B&N bookmarks because they are so small!
Luckily, I found a way to make free bookmarks for yourself. It's stupidly easy, I think you'll be LYAO (does that even exist?) when you finish reading through this DIY.
& even better, my best friend Jocelyn gave me a surprise visit today. So not only did we get this project done quickly, getting to see her made my day!
Materials
-A computer with Internet
-A printer that can print in colour (unless you're fine with B&W)
-Scissours
-For the overachievers A hole puncher, some pretty yarn, & laminatour sheets.
Procedure
1.) Find a photo that you really like. Remember, it has to be a photo that would look great, even if it's being cut into vertical strips. Some websites that I would recommend are tumblr (yours or even mine), National Geographic, D E S I G N L O V E F E S T, & the list goes on-fivever.
2.) Print out your photo(s). Make sure the photo is not too big. We're going for bookmark size here.
3.) Cut out your photo as neatly as you can. Cut your photo into 4 strips.
4.) If you want to make your bookmark prettier: Use your hole puncher to punch a hole on top of your bookmark. Cut some yarn & tie it through that hole. ...& even better, put a quote on the back!
& now you have enough bookmarks to last a lifetime. Have a lovely day!
