Charleston, SC

I'm so glad Dad decided to show us Charleston on our way back to North Carolina. For lunch, we stopped at the Angel Oak Restaurant, an eatery that can be described as an ultimate Southern comfort food destination.

Mum caught red-handed as she was stealing some of my herb fries. The sandwich that I ordered was the FGT B.L.T.

Piggy mac is beyond genius. The chef cooked mac 'n cheese in a skillet & added ham to it. As you can see, the piggy mac is served in the skillet.

The famous AO banana pudding. The toppings include caramel sauce and vanilla wafers. The only difference between AO's banana pudding & our family recipe is they did not add vanilla beans to the custard. Despite that missing ingredient, it tasted phenomenal, but I do sometimes wonder what AO's banana pudding would taste like if vanilla beans were mixed into the custard.

Beignets!

Reese was so happy to get out of the car & take a huge walk around the city. A few children were chasing after him trying to grab his tail!
